How to Help Your Skin Naturally

We’re big proponents of skin treatment and beauty products – we put a lot of time and resources into developing these – but we also know that there are things you can do to help these products work to their most effective. So what are some natural ways to help your skin see the optimal benefits of leading cosmetics? Read on, dear reader, for our natural skin care tips…

 

1. Eat Healthy

Are you tired of hearing about the importance of healthy eating? We don’t blame you – it’s everywhere. From weight-loss to good hair, the benefits of healthy eating are expounded everywhere. The thing is ladies, it’s for good reasons, and I think sometimes we get so caught up in all the marketing that we forget the truth behind the message.

Healthy eating continues to be found to improve every aspect of our health, and this, of course, includes our skin. There are lots of ways to care for your skin, and fruit and veg are certainly one of them!

 

2. Be Sun Smart

Okay, so you might not live in Australia, but most of us still see the sun out every now and then, be it on holiday or on a cheeky bright day here in the UK! The thing is, as much as we here at TW Skin love the heat, the sun can do serious damage to your skin.

Because we’re not subjected to 50 degree days all that often here in Tunbridge Wells, we don’t all realise how serious, but around the world the effects are there to be seen. And even on a cloudy day those harmful Ultra-Violet Rays that you might have heard of are seeping through and causing dehydration, wrinkles and burn.

Cover up when you’re in the sun for an extended period – trust us, it’ll do a world of good.

 

3. Get Your Beauty Sleep

We’re not joking, beauty sleep is real. A lot of people think this saying has come about purely from the angle of bags under your eyes but – as with diet – it is becoming clearer and clearer just how important sleep is for skin health.

The recommended amount is eight hours sleep a night, but if this isn’t possible (we all love the odd party!) try to get a 20-minute cat nap in there at some stage.
